The cornerstone of our Arabic studies, and indeed Arabic grammar it's self: The Qur'an. We have build and rebuilt this program around the highest impact vocabulary and topics for accessing the speech of Allah.
Many online courses focus almost entirely on reading. We have now updated our program to include many practical dialogues to practise in class and build your speaking skills!
In the life of the prophet Muhammad ﷺ, we find a great blessing for Arabic students; knowledge for the student focussed on scripture as well as an eloquent speaker of Arabic.
The Arabic language holds a wealth of history and literature, spanning both continents and centuries. In this program, we'll give you the keys to unlock the these treasures of the Muslim legacy.
I went on to complete an Arabic degree in London with a year in Palestine. I then did teacher training and began creating lessons which would later become the Arabic in 60 Steps program.
I now live in Mogadishu with my wife and two children where we run a charity for deaf people to help them appreciate the Qur'an the way I did when I put on those headphones for the first time.
We have taught over 10 LIVE, intensive programs over the past few years alone and have found 8 weeks to be the perfect sweet spot. A lot can be covered in this time and it's not too long that the students get burnt out.
Our classes our built to be intimate and effective. With just 3 students per class, we ensure a perfect size for pair work as well as enough time for the teacher to meet the needs of each and every student.

Is this for children?
This course is not designed for children. We have had teenagers as young as 15 on the program, but they have all been very mature and conscientious learners. Our YouTube content gives a good indication of our teaching style. If the student can keep up with that, s/he will probably be just fine on the program.
Frankly, if this program doesn't work, I would love to know what does.... I mean really, I am constantly looking for ways to make this program serve our students more effectively. We have gone to great lengths to build a rewarding program which students enjoy and feel a continued sense of progress as well as creating a system of accounatbility and support. In fact, we are so confident that we have an amazing guarantee which you can read about below.
Honestly, we hope to never have to issue refunds. It's a pain for us and for you as the student to deal with it. Our focus is on delivering a world class Arabic language learning experience.
That said, I am so confident in the program and I care about our integrity so much more than I do about the money, that we do have a very generous (some might even say crazy) policy: If you follow the course sincerely and complete all of the tasks assigned and then do not achieve the goals laid out for the given module, I will refund you every penny. I'll even write you an apology note by hand for wasting your time - Screen shot this is you don't believe me 😅
As a rule, we don't break up the payment. We like our students to save up for the program and join when it's easier financially. However, in certain circumstances we are open minded to offering the payment in 2 or 3 monthly instalments, so long as it wont cause financial hardship for our student.
We have an incredibly generous community of students who have experienced the quality of the program themselves. We do occasionally use this to raise funds to sponsor incoming students who are in genuine need of the support. If you are in need of sponsorship for your studies, or you would like to sponsor someone, please Email [email protected]
It takes 8 weeks to complete each module and there are 4 modules. So it will require around 32 weeks in the class/ 8 months to complete the entire program. This is a total of 64 hours in the classroom and around an equal amount of practise outside of lessons So the program requires around 128 hours of learning time.
Each module taught through an 8 week cohort is currently £267. So if you were to complete all 4 modules, one after the other, it would cost a total of £1,068 over the course of 8 months. It works out at around £16 an hour and that's not even including the value of the resources, the student community or the out-of-lesson support.
To start module 1, the only pre-requisite is being able to read and write the Arabic script. Don't worry if you are a slow reader or if your hand writing isn't great - We will have time to practise that. But to enter at Module 1 or above, you must know the Arabic script.
If you do not know the Arabic script, you can enrol and I will put you into an 8 week "Primer" class where you will learn to read and write the Arabic script and develop familiarity with Arabic through spoken dialogues - This is a perfect way to prepare yourself for success in the 60 Steps program long in the long run.
